The first purpose built Abbeyfield house in an outer suburb of Melbourne on land provided by local government. The house was funded under the LGCHP with substantial contributions from charitable trusts. It opened in 1986 shortly after the opening of the first Abbeyfield house.

Abbeyfield House Croydon is a well maintained and affordable accommodation option for older people who are looking for a private bedroom, support, quality meals, and companionship.

The home is situated in a suburban street in Croydon, in a lovely garden setting, close to shops and transport within easy walking distance. It was established in 1986 by local community members and provides safe, home-like and affordable housing for older people in our community.

You can maintain your independence and build lasting relationships with other members of the Abbeyfield House, Croydon. Residents are in charge of their own lives and make most decisions on their own behalf, but are also aware that additional support is available to them if and when they need it.

Residents are welcome to have guests to visit. Each resident enjoys their own spacious and private room with ensuite and shares the living, dining, kitchen facilities.
