Abbeyfield Australia operate houses in Metro Melbourne. Our houses are a large, family style supportive group community housing for up to ten older residents, and our Housekeeper plays a big part in our residents’ happiness and wellbeing.
We are seeking relief housekeepers for regular casual employment. This is an enjoyable and rewarding role for the right person who can cook healthy tasty meals and enjoys the company of people.

Call for Nomination for election as Director
|
This explanatory letter explains the process to nominate for election as director.
There are two types of Nomination Forms available: from this website. One is for members of Abbeyfield Australia to nominate an individual for election, and a separate form specifically for affiliated local societies to nominate or second an individual for election.
Completed Nomination Forms must be received by Abbeyfield Australia by 5.00pm (Melbourne time) on Monday 24 October 2016.
It is your responsibility to lodge your completed Nomination Form by the deadline.

Register of injuries - template

This Register of Injuries can be used by all Abbeyfield local societies (Houses and Hostels) to record and manage their response to work place injuries (including return to work.)
All employers must maintain a register of injuries.
Where an incident occurs which does not cause an injury, it too should still be noted in a separate incident register - which is reviewed periodically by the COM for trends in recurring incidents and / or 'near misses' which may have potentially caused an injury.

Fair Work Information Statement (National Employment Standards information sheet)
|
The Fair Work Act (Cwth) requires that every new employee be given a copy of the Fair Work Information Statement. If necessary, any existing employee who has not received a FWI Statement should also be provided with a copy.
Not providing a FWI Statement is a breach of the Fair Work Act and carries a penalty of up to $30,000.

Abbeyfield House – invitation for familiarization period

This is a generic letter which Local Societies may use to invite a potential new resident to live in their House for a brief familiarisation period.
The familiarisation period is important because it lets potential residents experience life in an Abbeyfield House prior to making a commitment to move in permanently. It also gives the other House residents and Committee of Management the opportunity to better get to know the potential resident.
